Once you have the output folder selected, it is time to make an important

choice regarding your rendering. You can save your animation result as

a video file or image sequence:

Video file: You can render the animation in formats like MP4,

MKV, or OGG

Image sequence: The animation will appear as a sequence of

individual image files like PNG or JPG.

Having your animation rendered as a video file might be convenient for

quick visualization. But if you want to have a flexible workflow and avoid

the need for rendering everything again, you should use an image

sequence.

The most significant benefit of working with an image sequence is that

you can keep a lossless version of all your animation frames. By

choosing the PNG image format, you can later generate a video file and

include titles and effects.

Another benefit of using image sequences is that you can easily stop

and resume a rendering process with no data loss. For instance, by

rendering animation with 5000 frames, you can interrupt the process at

frame 750. You can later resume the rendering by setting your animation

to start from frame 751, which will keep your previous progress.
